The most common places to install acoustic panels are walls and ceilings. Acoustic panels should be installed in areas where sound reflections and noise buildup are most problematic: corners, behind sound sources, and most sound-reflective surfaces. Strategic placement in these spots helps enhance sound clarity, reduce distractions, and improve overall acoustics.

Acoustic wood panels offer mid-to-high frequency sound absorption, with NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) ratings ranging from 0.70 to 0.95, depending on thickness and material composition. While they significantly improve room acoustics, they do not provide full soundproofing. They should be combined with other soundproofing materials like mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) or soundproof insulation for complete noise isolation.

Ceiling Panels: Suspended from the ceiling to control noise in open offices.

Freestanding Partitions: Used as office dividers to reduce sound transfer between workstations.
